Worldwide Guide to Women in Leadership
About the Author
My name is Martin Iversen Christensen My interest in women of influence started as a child when I read "Politikens Verdenshistorie" (World History) and learned about such leaders as, Elizabeth I of England, Catharina the Great of Russia, Maria Theresia of Austria and others. They lived in a world where women had little influence and still they were successful. Later, when I studied history I learned more, I collected the information I gathered. This was before the time of the Internet, and I did not really know what to do with the information, but when I got the chance I got a webpage and has developed the site ever since. I have used a variety of sources. Much information is found via the net - especially via google.com. A lot of people have provided me with new information, additions and corrections, and I am grateful for that. I am cand.mag. (Master of Arts) in History, Middle East Studies and Business Economy from Syddansk Universitet, Boğaziçi Üniversitesi n Istanbul, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen in the Netherlands and Handelshøjskolen i København I have worked as a journalist in different organizations and a private magazine, as a translator in the EU and Office Manager of a regional representation in Brussels. |
