Before 1935 Vice-President of the Provincial Executive Begum Shah Nawaz, Lahore 
1937-38 Parliamentary Secretary of Education, Medical Relief and Public Health in Punjab 
1942-... Member of the National Defence Council of India. She was member of the All Indian Muslim league until she was dismissed. In 1946 she re-joined the leauge and was elected to the Punjab Assembly and the same year she went with M.A.H. Isphahani on a goodwill mission to USA where they explained the Muslim point of view. Jehan Ara was daughter of the Muslim-leauge leader, Sir. Muhammad Shafi, and lived (1896-1979)

A leader of the All Indian Muslim Leauge and daughter of it's leader
Sir Mian Muhammad Shafi, member of the Assembly. In 1952 she presided over the the Assembly for the first time. Also former member of the Constituent Assembly. She lived (1896-1979)
