Noun Bunna formed the party in 1998 to improve women’s rights and to encourage their participation in the political process. She is the former chief of farmer’s union in Kompong Thom, Phnom Penh and Kompong Speu.

2008-2011/13 Secretary General of the Sam Rainsy Party Ke Sovannaroth
MP and Senator, she took over as Party Leader when Sam Rainsy went into exile. The party was renamed the Cambodia National Rescue party in 2013.
