Female Danish Local Leaders Denmark is divided 5 regions headed by a Chairperson of the Region (Regionsformand) and 98 municipalities headed by a Mayor (Borgmester). Copenhagen has got it's own City Government with a City Council chaired by the Lord Mayor and 7 Departemental Mayors.
